Mariano (55) is the President of BCCD and its founding Chairman until the merger with the British Import Union in March 2008, which he instigated and negotiated. He is also the CEO of the International Institute of Written Oxford English ApS – a member of a global consortium with a portfolio of established intelligent communications skills e-learning driven solutions for the business community.
As President, Mariano represents BCCD-BIU in all international matters and attends a significant number of events of a representative nature branding the Chamber. He acts as Chamber host at many of its events, is responsible for the Chamber’s sponsorship programme and is a member of the Management Team for the daily running of the Chamber together with the Executive Director and Gareth Garvey.
At an international level, Mariano is Chairman of the COBCOE Nordic-Baltic Region and he also sits on COBCOE’s Executive Advisory Board. Other Board positions include Dansk Erhverv’s “Expat In Denmark Advisory Board” and the Management Board of “Hamletscenen”.
