| Green taxes: their effects on industry and on the wider economy | Print |
Professor Peter Birch Sørensen from the University of Copenhagen, Department of Economics is Chairman of both the Danish Economic Council and of the Environmental Economic Council, which is an economic advisory body ,established by law in 2007, with 24 members representing unions, employers, ngos, the Danish Government and independent economic experts. The Chairmanship will present its next report with economic analyses, including those on environmental issues which have relevance to the Danish or Global economy, on March 4. This will include a chapter on green taxes and which discusses their effect on business and industry and the wider economy.
Professor Birch Sørensen has agreed to give a special presentation of the results and recommendations of their report to members of BCCD-BIU at an "on the way home" meeting shortly after it has been discussed by the Council.
