Soditic CBIP LLP is a London based asset management company focused on long term specialist investment strategies. David Marsh joined the company as Senior Adviser on 1st January. He worked for the Financial Times from 1978 to 1995, mainly from Frankfurt, and became European editor. He then worked for 10 years with the German consultancy company Droege and the Hawkpoint and Flemings financial groups.
A founder member, and Deputy Chairman of the German-British Forum (1995), he was made CBE and awarded the German Order of Merit (Bundesversienstkreuz) for services to Anglo-German relations. He is a member of the advisory boards of the Centre for European Reform and the Institute for Corporate Cultural Affairs. He is also a board member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany. He is best known as the author of four important books, including "The Euro – The Politics of the New Global Currency" published in 2009. He has a BA in Chemistry from The Queen's College Oxford and is an honorary professor at the University of Birmingham.
David currently advises on international transactions, corporate development and communications management in fields ranging from transport, technology and real estate to media and financial services. He has developed a speciality in crafting innovative solutions for British-German businesses. David is Chairman of independent investment bank London & Oxford Capital Markets.
