Autumn Ball 2007Print

The Autumn Ball is the highlight of the year for the British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark. It will be held for the third year running at the magnificent Odd Fellow Palæ in Bredgade and sponsored by Sterling Airlines  and the Ketner Foundation.

The date to put in your diaries is Saturday 27 October from 18.15. It will end on Sunday 28 October - when the clocks go back.

The evening will be as glamourous as usual with smoking (dinner jackets) or dark suit for the men and ball gowns or other evening attire for the ladies.

As something additional this year, we have arranged a guided tour of the Odd Fellow Palæ prior to the start of the Ball, for those of you who would like to learn more about the story of this fascinating building. There will be a small additional charge and the group will be limited to 30 people.

After a welcome drink at 18.15 onwards in the Garden Room, where we will be entertained by a pianist, we will be served a delicious three-course dinner with wine at 19.00 in the Concert Hall.

Our after dinner speaker will be Helge Hjortdal, former Secretary General of the Danish Parliament.

He is also the author of "Tre Røde Konger", a biography of  H.C. Hansen, Viggo Kampmann og Jens Otto Krag. Three social democrat Prime Ministers for whom he was Private Secretary earlier in his career.

His address will be given in Danish.

The programme also includes a bewitching caberet followed by dancing to the "Efterfyraften" band or simply enjoying a drink in the bar chatting to the other guests. There will be a prize draw, for two return Sterling tickets to any of their European destinations, during the evening and a light supper before closing at 13.00.

Tickets can be ordered now at the following prices:

Members and their spouses or partners -  DKK 750 pp incl. moms
