The recent financial commotion and its consequences
12.10.2007 Chief Analyst Danske Bank
Steen Bocian, Chief Analyst at Danske Bank since 2000, is Denmark's most quoted economist.
He will give us his views and make clear why we need to take heed of all the recent financial fuss in a talk entitled:
The recent financial commotion and its consequences:
Why should we bother about financial terms such as sub prime and CDOs?
Den finansielle uro og dens konsekvenser:
Hvorfor bør vi forholde os til finansielle termer som sub prime og CDO'er?
His talk will be in English but he is happy to take questions afterwards in both languages.
Steen is incredibly good at seeing things from the perspective of "Mr and Mrs Denmark". He is fast, very precise and speaks a language which everyone can understand.
An analyst's job is to give accurate and precise answers to all types of economic and sociological questions on domestic and foreign issues. These are frequently required in the minimum of time and the quality of their recommendations can be measured in concrete gains or losses of money in the market.
Steen has three year's experience from the Danish Economic Council's wisemen's secretariat and has also worked for the Economic Council of the Labour Movement. He started with Danske Bank as an analyst of private economy and the housing market, but has now extended his expertise to just about everything to do with the Danish economy.
This will be a joint lunch with members of the British Import Union.
