20.11.2009
CEO, Better Place Denmark, Head of EMEA Business Development
Better Place

As chief executive of Better Place Denmark, Jens Moberg is responsible for all aspects of the company’s direction, strategy, financing and operations, including development of the Better Place electric vehicle network in Denmark. He leads a local team in support of making the Better Place vision of zero-emission electric vehicles powered by renewable energy a reality. In addition, as the head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Business Development for Better Place, Jens plays a significant role in expanding Better Place to other European countries.

Jens has more than 20 years of technology industry leadership experience across Europe, including a number of positions at Microsoft and IBM. Before joining Better Place, he was Corporate Vice President, Enterprise & Partner Group at Microsoft, responsible for developing and growing the enterprise business in Russia, India and China, including the company’s strategy, product offerings, local organization and entire partner ecosystem. Prior to this, he was responsible for revenue growth and development of Microsoft's U.S. Enterprise team. Jens also served previously as the EMEA Vice President and Regional Director for Western Europe.

In 2009, the Danish Prime Minister appointed Moberg to the Government Committee of Growth for Denmark. Jens has authored a management book, the title of which translates to “Humanistic Leadership”. The book is currently on the bestseller list of management literature in Denmark. He has a degree in marketing from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. Jens lives in Copenhagen with his wife and two sons.

Jens will be speaking on the development of electric cars in Denmark, and the part they can play in moving Denmark towards a sustainable transport system.
