Having previously worked as a tax lawyer, Richard now presides over the Danish Tax Appeal Boards (Ankesøjlen, SKAT). He also participates in many international tax seminars and meetings, both in Denmark in Dansk Skattevidenskabelig Forening and internationally as member of IFA, International Fiscal Association.
Richard will also comment on the political aspects, as he not only works for the Minister of Tax (at least indirectly) but also works with him as a member of the Executive Committee of Venstre.
Education and Professional Status:
- 1973-74: Studied at Wayne State College, Nebraska in Management, Marketing and EDP.
- 1979: Graduated in Law from University of Copenhagen.
- 1982: Licensed to practice as an attorney.
- 1983: Licensed to appear before the High Court.
- 1988: License to appear before the Surpreme Court.
Professional Experience:
- 1979: Military prosecutor, Copenhagen.
- 1982-87: Attorney at Surpreme Court Attorney Claus Christensen.
- 1987: Established own law firm. General business Law, professional liability Law and Consumer Law.
- 1996: Co-founder of the law firm ”Advokaterne Hovedvagtsgade 6”. Senior and administrative partner in same since.
The law firm has 8 senior independant partners, and provides a full service assistance in all legal fields.
