A special lunch in honour of the BIU's 80th Anniversary
26.02.2010
Save this date for a special lunch to celebrate the BIU's 80th Anniversary. The event will start slightly earlier than usual with drinks and an exhibition including images, text, film & music from the BIU's 80 year history. (Many of these items will also be made available on the BIU celebrates 80 years webpage.) It will be followed by a served lunch, and high quality talks on the subject of the historical ties between Britain and Denmark, and the role that the BIU has played.
Our guest speakers will be:
Professor Patrick Salmon, Chief Historian of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Jørgen Sevaldsen, historian and author of "Britain and Denmark"
This format reflects the pattern of the traditional BIU meetings. It is expected that the event will finish at approx 15.00.
Of course this event will be special to members of BCCD-BIU and past members of BIU, but it should also prove fascinating to those who currently know less about it. We hope to see as many as possible of you there, as this should be a lunch to remember!
