Come and join other members and guests of BCCD-BIU for a glass of wine and networking, before settling down to an exclusive preview of the much-anticipated film The King's Speech. The film has been nominated for a string of Oscars, and has won many other awards including a Golden Globe for Colin Firth for 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama', and 5 categories of the British Independent Film Awards. Helena Bonham Carter plays the Queen, and Geoffrey Rush portrays the unconventional speech therapist.

The King's Speech
Tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stammer and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue.
