Vita & Virginia chronicles the briefly physical and emotionally enduring friendship of Virginia Woolf and the aristocratic Vita Sackville-West - two of the most celebrated women writers of the 20th century.
With humour wit and passion - and with the English language at its finest - we are treated to an intimate portrait of the relationship between Vita and Virginia. Vita and Virginia gives us a fascinating insight into a lesbian affair at a time when there could be no public admission of one's sexuality and any deviation from the marital norm was unthinkable.
The play is based on the letters between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West and is a really wonderful piece depicting the developing relationship the two women had over a 20 year period.
The play is performed in English by: Angela Heath-Larsen (Vita) Sue Hansen-Styles (Virginia) Directed by Barry McKenna
