The Copenhagen PostPrint

The Copenhagen Post was founded in November 1997 by San Shepherd and is since September 1999 owned by CPHPOST.DK ApS, founded by Ejvind Sandal. Since we published our first issue, in February 1998, The Copenhagen Post has been Denmark's only English-language newspaper reporting the Danish news.

The included IN&OUT Guide was established in May 1998 by Thomas Dalvang Fleurquin. In January 2000, The Copenhagen Post moved to its current offices located on Kongens Nytorv.

In March 2001 San Shepherd left his seat of Chief Executive in favor of Jesper Nymark. In 2002-2003, The Copenhagen Post expanded its activities within the newspaper, as well as in other areas, cooperating with Ritzaus Bureau, delivering round-the-clock Danish and Nordic news to the EU Commission, Wonderful Copenhagen, and the Danish Foreign Ministry, as the official supplier of all news articles to www.denmark.dk.

We greatly value these partnerships, which have helped to consolidate The Copenhagen Post’s status as the chief supplier of Danish news in English, on the national and international level. Today, the newspaper is the nation's preferred media for the large segment of people living in Denmark who do not speak Danish. This is a fast-expanding group, ranging from international business travelers, students, and tourists in Denmark for a short-term period, to diplomats and international business professionals who have settled with their families in Denmark.

This also means that many of our major subscribers are international companies located in Denmark, which via the Copenhagen Post, can offer international staff and their families the opportunity to follow current issues and cultural events in the Copenhagen area, and Denmark as a whole.
