The trade organisation for the transport sector
The Danish Transport and Logistics Association (DTL) is the trade organisation for the Danish road and rail transport sector. DTL represents its members on political issues at local, national and EU level, as well as helping its members with everything from legislation to specific problems within the companies. DTL is also an employers’ association for the Danish transport sector. This allows us to cover the needs of the entire sector. DTL has 2,450 transport companies as members. They are in charge of 13,200 lorries, 50 locomotives and employ 16,300 people with a total payroll of DKK 6 billion. DTL’s organisation- Members
The members are organised into local associations, districts and professional networks. DTL’s 2,450 member companies are divided into 26 local associations. DTL also has a number of professional networks as members that take on the same transport jobs, e.g. animal transporters or moving companies. The 26 local associations and professional networks are affiliated with 4 regional districts.
- Regional offices to serve the whole country
DTL has four regional offices in Denmark: Viborg, Kolding, Rønnede and Copenhagen. The regional offices help members solve specific problems within the companies.
- Head office in Copenhagen
The head office in Copenhagen is DTL’s administrative centre and also the base for DTL’s employers’ association. This is where we have combined our political activities, legal expertise and member administration into one unit.
- Two permanent EU employees in Brussels
Much of the legislation the transport industry is subject to comes from the EU. This is why DTL has two permanent employees in Brussels representing its members.
- Member of the Danish Chamber of Commerce
DTL is a member of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Denmark’s second largest trade organisation. At the Danish Chamber of Commerce, members of DTL and DTL’s employers’ association can get service and advice on all commercial policy issues and employers’ questions.

DTL Fordelspartner is a department within DTL which, thanks to agreements with external suppliers on discounts, special offers and professional advice, strengthens the members’ businesses in terms of both good offers for the company and employee benefits.
