The British Minister of Defence, John Reid, paid an official visit to Denmark last Friday, 31 March for talks with his opposite number, the Danish Minister of Defence, Søren Gade.  His visit was designed to strengthen cooperation in the aftermath of the cartoons affair and to discuss issues like operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places, the optimising of resources, the NATO meeting in Riga and other bilateral matters. He also visited HMS Ocean during her courtesy visit to Copenhagen.
