British Airways is opening up its route network at London City Airport by introducing its first route from Copenhagen. British Airways franchise partner SUN-AIR already operates from Billund to London City Airport.
The airline has announced plans to start a new double daily weekday service from Copenhagen to London City Airport in the heart of London, providing a direct air link between the two capital cities. There will also be one flight a day from Copenhagen on Saturdays and one flight from London City on Sundays.
London City Airport is the most central airport in London, with the City of London and Canary Wharf both only 20 minutes away. London City also boasts minimum check in times of just 15 minutes with hand baggage and 20 minutes with checked in luggage.
The new flights will commence on September 12, and will be operated by British Airways wholly owned subsidiary BA CityFlyer with their fleet of brand new Embraer 170 and 190 Aircraft. The Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft are unrivalled in their comfort and efficiency at London City, with no middle seat and flight times of 2 hours or less.
Peter Rasmussen, Commercial Manager Northern Europe said: “For some time, our customers have asked us about a route into the financial district of London, and we are happy to provide an excellent schedule with two daily flights during the workweek, ideal for business travellers. Holiday travellers to London can combine their London City flight with one of our existing six daily departures to Heathrow. And our Saturday and Sunday flights are suitable for a short – or longer – week-end break.”
Fares are available from DKK520 one way, inclusive of taxes and fees and are available to book on www.ba.com. |
