IT Branchen´s Annual Conference “Technology creates growth”

This year’s ITB annual conference took place in the old Børsen building in Slotsholmsgade close to Christiansborg and was attended by ITB members and almost as many guests (including BCCD’s President Mariano A. Davies).

The conference had two major themes – the digitalisation potential in the public sector and digital growth with two business success cases. Thomas Larsen, the political commentator from Berlingske Tidende, moderated a debate between Bertel Haarder MF (Minister of Health), Carl Holst (Regional Chairman for Region South Denmark) and Tove Larsen (Lord Mayor, Aabenraa municipality). The panel discussion highlighted some of the initiatives that are expected to generate real savings and effective welfare improvements.

The second panel discussion was moderated by Niels Lunde (Business Commentator at Politiken) after presentations from Anders Eldrup (CEO, DONG Energy) and Mogens Bransholm (CEO, Conscia). Both presentations highlighted the need for really innovative business transformation changes that will meet the new challenges of a global market.

This year’s IT Prize was given to Thomas Madsen-Mygdal, who has shown through his innovation and vision that technology creates growth. The prize was presented by IT Branchen’s Chairman, Jørgen Bardenfleth (CEO, Microsoft Denmark).
