Graham Tully, GT Translation expanding translation activities in SwedenPrint

Graham Tully, BCCD member and owner and managing director of Danish translation agency GT Translation, is making a major move into the Swedish market in a joint venture with Göteborg-based translation agency Entrance in a pan-Scandinavian initiative to provide quality translations to and from English, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian by professional native speakers with many years of experience. In Denmark, GT Translation’s client portfolio includes the British Embassy’s UK Trade & Industry section, the LEGO Group, IBM Denmark, Copenhagen Capacity and several leading Copenhagen advertising agencies. An ongoing project in which Graham is involved - Cruise Baltic, in collaboration with Wonderful Copenhagen tourist organisation and leading Danish communication agency Bergsøe - received in 2007 Denmark’s biggest marketing award. Graham also worked for the United Nations during the organisation’s last summit conference in Copenhagen in 1995.

In addition to the company’s activities in Denmark, in recent years GT Translation has been increasingly active in Sweden, providing Swedish-English and English-Swedish translations to customers across Sweden including Ifö, Näringslivskontoret in Malmö, Hays Recruitment Agency in Stockholm, and a number of advertising and translation agencies in Stockholm and Malmö. Similarly, a move into the Norwegian market has seen GT Translation’s reach extend to Oslo and as far as northern Norway, where Graham regularly translates from Norwegian into English for the Tromsø-based Norwegian Seafood Export Council.

In a strategic move aimed at building a stronger presence across Scandinavia and particularly in Denmark and Sweden, where Graham feels that the market for translations offers strong growth potential, following informal collaboration over several years GT Translation has now entered into a joint venture partnership with Göteborg-based translation agency Entrance, owned and managed by Monica Berntsson, whose customer portfolio includes Business Region Göteborg and other leading players in the commercial sector in Göteborg, elsewhere in Sweden and internationally.

Comments Graham: “With a solid market position in Denmark after almost 16 years in business and a stronger profile in Sweden, the aim of this joint venture is to consolidate and grow across Scandinavia’s major markets in a pan-regional reach, providing quality translations to and from English, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian in all combinations.”
