Chamber members were invited by Captain Jeremy Blunden to a splendid reception on the deck of HMS Bulwark that was visiting Copenhagen for a day after a day in Dunkerque and on its way to visit a number of ports before joining in NATO exercises this summer in the Mediterranean.
HMS Bulwark is the second of a new class of assault ship that was launched at the BAE Systems shipyard at Barrow-in-Furness on 15 November 2001. She was formerly commissioned into the Royal Navy on 28 April 2005 and has assumed the role of Fleet Amphibious Flagship and High Readiness Assault Ship ready for worldwide tasking.
On arrival, we were all escorted by Officers and Officers in training to the reception area. Among these were Junior Officers from Trinidad and Tobago on a one year training program with the Royal Navy. It was a delight to experience the polished social skills of these Officers whose efforts made the transition from arrival to relaxed participation so much easier.

The event was attended by a large number of Chamber members who seemed to find it a very useful networking opportunity with a wide cross-section of Danish and British professionals.
