February 2010
Despite the snow, several of you still turned out to hear Sven Michelsen (Customer Loyalty Director at 3) and Tomas Gorrissen (from Responsive) share smart ideas on how to keep your existing clients. The view from the top of Responsive's offices made an impressive backdrop for the evening.

On Valentine's Day the British Import Union completed it's 80th year. So we celebrated in style by turning our February Lunch in a full blown anniversary celebration. You can see our news report for the day, with more photos, of the exhibition, vintage cars, the rest of the speakers, and an amazing birthday cake.

March 2010
Shanelle Hall (Director of UNICEF's Supply Division) spoke at our March lunch on the topic 'Millenium Development Goals'. As well as describing how the Supply Division contributes to meeting these goals, she explained that companies could use the 'Global Compact' to help form their Corporate Social Responsibility packages. She stressed that the goals cannot be met by aid organisations, or even governments working alone, but that input from the business community was vital. She was therefore very pleased to have been invited to speak at the BCCD-BIU Lunch. |
