The BIU Tattoo Legat, which was not included in the BCCD-BIU merger agreement of 2008, merged into the Anders Lassen Foundation on 1 December 2009 following a unanimous decision by the Legat’s Board.

The two chairmen Alf Duch-Pedersen, BIU Tattoo Legat and Poul Lindgaard, Anders Lassen Foundation marked the occasion at a lunch together with Lars Findsen, Permanent Secretary, Danish Ministry of Defence.
Anders Lassen Foundation, which has his Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Denmark as its protector, is named after Major Anders Lassen, who made a formidable contribution during the Second World War. The fund’s purpose is to reward noteworthy military achievements, make an economic contribution to previous members, or their families of the frogman or corps with exemplary service, to support and encourage wounded military personnel, to recognise those who have made a special humanitarian contribution and to create a better bond between the two corps in the spirit of Anders Lassen. |
