Remembrance Day ceremony 2010 was observed on Sunday 14 November. A service was held at St. Albans Church at 10.30 followed by a wreath laying ceremony at 12.00 at Bispebjerg Kirkegård Frederiksborgvej 125, 2400 Copenhagen NV.
Mariano A. Davies laid a poppy wreath on behalf of the British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark. Suzanne Hilary Hansen laid a wreath on behalf of the Royal British Legion, and Penny Schmith also attended the ceremony. The red poppies are a reminder of the blood that was shed on the battlefields of the two world wars, and of the sacrifices made by the soldiers. It has also become a time to recognise and honour all the British troops who have fought since then (more information about the Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal). More photos can be seen on the British Embassy website. Thanks to Hugh Mayo for those shown here.
We will remember them
