Social Media in a Corporate World - Tuesday 29 May 2007
Have you sent an SMS, read a Blog, heard a Podcast, taken a stroll through Second Life or been Linked-in or Twittered during the last week?
At 17.00 in the SAS Royal Hotel, Karin Høgh, a journalist, blogger and podcasting consultant will give a presentation of the social software she uses herself and give examples of the evolving corporate use of social media such as podcasting. This and other new media can be used as internal as well as external communication and as additional tools in the marketing mix, but they raise a number of issues and present challenges.
Further details are available on the website.
This event is the first in a series of "on the way home" (Gå hjem) meetings that BCCD will be arranging to cover topical issues that can benefit your business or organisation.

Board:
- Ove Hänel retired on 10 May from his position as Head of Marketing at Danske Bank.
- Ove will be leaving Denmark at the end of June for Vilnius and is therefore leaving the Board of BCCD. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his dedicated hard work for the Chamber .
- Ove has been with us since the transition from the British Business Lunch Club to Chamber. We wish him all the very best in his retirement.
- Please read the article from Børsen
Our Executive Director, John Mott has decided to leave BCCD at the end of this month.
John was contracted part-time from his own Management Consultancy Company, viaction, as the first Executive Director of the new BCCD in May 2004, a position which he has held for the last three years, during all the turbulence of the transformation from Club to Chamber. With the support of a working Board, and later on a part-time administrator, John has been able to maintain the momentum of the daily operations of the new Chamber, in spite of limited time and resources. The Chamber is now established, has a full-time Administrator, a busy programme with a more secure financial base and, after almost exactly three years, is poised for a merger that will enhance its ability to develop its visions as a bilateral Chamber of Commerce.
John feels it is now for him to stand down and turn his full attention and energy back to his company, viaction.
We will be inviting all BCCD members and other guests to a reception to say goodbye and thank you to John at 17.00 on Thursday 31 May in the SAS Radisson Royal Hotel.
