Dear Members and Contacts,

The autumn season is well underway after two very inspiring lunches with excellent speakers.

Katherine Richardson at the BCCD-BIU lunch         Katherine Richardson

Christopher Dubi                                                                Frankie Fredericks                                              Søren Holmgren

Remember that their presentations are made available for download on the website (see the click through spot on the home page). Our next one is tommorrow, with Michael Dicks from Barclaýs Wealth and it is not too late to sign up!

I'd like to remind you about the auction following the lunch during the IOC Congress. We sense that many members were out of the office during half term and have decided to extend the bidding opportunity for a week. Please encourage your organisation to make an offer for Søren Holmgren's generous contribution to a worthy cause for youth and sport. Full details via the link below.

For the November lunch we have confirmed Jens Moberg from Better Place, so come and hear all about their exciting project with electric cars.

We are just putting the finishing touches to a seminar with Copenhagen Business School on " Creating Value with International Boards" on 9 December, where the results from a recent research report published by the Nordic Innovation Center will be presented and speakers with experience will share their views. This is a follow up to the very succesful "Women on Boards" seminar before the summer. More details later in the month.

Chamber activities in December will also have a more social character, where partners can be included. The Christmas reception with UKTI is set for Thursday 3 December at the British Ambassador's Residence in Gentofte. Then we are arranging a film premiere just before the holiday break at the Grand Theatre.

But  there are many other activities in our network of members which we need to draw your attention to:

Radio programme in English:

"Kaleidoscope" - is on the air from 14.00 - 16.30 every other Saturday in even numbered weeks. It covers most of Nordsjælland from Helsingør to Hørsholm, Hillerød, Gilleleje, Nivå, Holte and everything in between!

The programme is both in Danish and English and broadcasted on the following wavelengths:

FM 92,8 mhz - TDC cable 94,5 - Stofa cable 96,8

Next  week, on Saturday 31 October, there is an interview by one of our Honorary members, Sam Lomberg with the British Ambassador.

Sam says that BCCD members are very welcome to send news items etc. for future programmes.
