Other Organisations Events:
BCCD LinkedIn group
We have a group set up on LinkedIn, and are putting more effort into keeping it updated. So take a look at the BCCD group, and get the latest breaking news and updates - and most importantly add your views, start discussions and let other group members know about relevant events. Let's learn together how to put the lessons from last week's social media event into action!
Great Britain Deaf Football Team
The GB team will be spending a period of about two and a half weeks in Denmark summer as a result of having qualified for the 2011 European Deaf Football Championships. The tournament is being held in Odense. The team is self funded and does not currently receive any funding from the FA/UK Sport. The team's logistics manager has therefore been in touch to ask whether there any local companies who may be interested in supporting the team with hotels, local restaurants or transport hire. If you may be able to help, then please let us know.
Job Vacancies
We have received notification of three job openings for people with excellent English language skills. If you are interested please make contact directly with GBIF or Milstone respectively.
From the Secretariat:
We have added an 'Add to Outlook' option next to the Christmas Reception information to make it easy for you to remember the event details. Click on it, then choose 'open', then 'save &close' to add the details to your outlook calendar. Please let us know if you have any problems with this - or need it in a different format (e.g. for Google Calendar). If this is popular then we will make it a regular feature on our invitations.
Also, don't forget the Small Business and Individual member offer of 50% off the use of our meeting room / hotdesk facilities for your first booking.
Kind regards,
Penny Schmith Executive Director
