August 2007 Newsletter
A warm welcome to the start of the BCCD season. We hope that all our members have had a restful and re-energising summer break.
The new season of BCCD events:
These will now be held at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel, Hammerichsgade 1, in central Copenhagen.
Friday 21 September - our AGM where, alongside normal business, members will be asked to vote on the Board's proposal to merge with the British Import Union. The BIU will hold an EGM for their members to vote on the proposal in parallel to ours. The meetings will be followed by a joint buffet lunch so that, whatever the outcome, members of both organisations have an opportunity to get to know each other.
Our patron, British Ambassador David Frost will be the guest speaker at both meetings on the topic:
"British and Danish business - global leaders moving forward together"
Friday 12 October - Speaker to be announced
Friday 16 November - Ole Brinch-Nielsen, Dansk Shell talking about second generation biofuels.
Friday 18 January - Henning Thiesen, Danish Police talking about the new structure of the Danish police force
