Welcome to the July newsletter. This is the last newsletter of the 2010 / 2011 season. The Chamber office is now officially closed for the summer break, and will reopen in August ready to bring you a fresh selection of business and social events. You can see the events planned for September below, or take a look at our Events Calendar to see further ahead.

Dates for the diary:

  • Cloud servicesBCCD evenings for the Shakespeare Festival, Kronborg Castle in August: Thursday 4 for Richard III, Friday 5 for Comedy of Errors and Friday 12 for Hamlet.  
  • 07 September - Cloud Computing 'on the way home' event
  • 16 September - Lunch event (speaker tbc) and presentation of this years BCCD-BIU Scholarship
  • 29 September - Seminar: Optimizing VC / PE Portfolio Companies for Exit, joint event with DABF
  • 30 September - Social event: Whisky tasting

Keep your eye on the website for new events and further details about these ones. Please note that the Thursday meet ups in the Library Bar have ended due to lack of participation.  We would like to thank Elise Møller for being the focal point for this event for the past year.

We would also like to mention some very sad news;  Two longstanding members of BCCD-BIU died this May.  Thomas Federspiel, who was a previous Chairman of the BIU, and Gordon Fazakerley, a British artist who had lived in Copenhagen for many years.  Flowers and condolences were sent to both families from BCCD-BIU.  A copy of the obituary for Gordon which was published in The Copenhagen Post can be seen here.
