Lærke Hooge Andersen completed her undergraduate training at The Danish Design School in Copenhagen, before moving to London to begin her MA ’Design for Textile Futures’ course at University of the Arts – Central Saint Martins. Her scholarship from the BCCD-BIU enabeled her to complete her final year of study.
Lærke has previously worked with Danish artist and designer, Henrik Vibskov, as well as completing freelance design work for interior design concept store ILOVE in Copenhagen. She chose her resent course as it “...creates top qualified designers. Designers that with their ideas of sustainability and technological skills will bring textile design into the next century”.
At the moment she is working for EDF, a French Energy company. She is working as a design consultants on a project involving new and sustainible ways to design renewable energy for the future. The project will end in November with an exhibition in Saint-Etienne, France later this year.
