Copenhagen Capacity

Copenhagen Capacity is the official inward investment agency of Greater Copenhagen, the capital region of Denmark.

Copenhagen Capacity’s mission is to promote Copenhagen internationally and advice and assist foreign companies, considering setting up or expanding in Copenhagen. The purpose is to bring jobs and development to Copenhagen and make the region the preferred Nordic location.

The promotion of Copenhagen is especially targeted to high tech companies within the strongholds of the region: biotech, IT, food and film production. Established in 1431 the NorthDenmark Chamber of Commerce is by far the oldest business organisation in Denmark. Counting 500+ members it is also the largest – and the strongest – of its kind.

The German-Danish Chamber of Commerce is a bilateral non-profit organization for the promotion of economic cooperation between Germany and Denmark.

The chamber is a membership organization of roughly 370 producing companies, service providers and organizations in Germany and Denmark. The German-Danish Chamber of Commerce is working for their German as well as their Danish members and clients to promote trade and networking.

The Copenhagen Post was founded in November 1997 by San Shepherd and is since September 1999 owned by CPHPOST.DK ApS, founded by Ejvind Sandal.

Since we published our first issue, in February 1998, The Copenhagen Post has been Denmark’s only English-language newspaper reporting the Danish news.

The included IN&OUT Guide was established in May 1998 by Thomas Dalvang Fleurquin. In January 2000, The Copenhagen Post moved to its current offices located on Kongens Nytorv.

In March 2001 San Shepherd left his seat of Chief Executive in favor of Jesper Nymark. In 2002-2003, The Copenhagen Post expanded its activities within the newspaper, as well as in other areas, cooperating with Ritzaus Bureau, delivering round-the-clock Danish and Nordic news to the EU Commission, Wonderful Copenhagen, and the Danish Foreign Ministry, as the official supplier of all news articles to www.denmark.dk.

We greatly value these partnerships, which have helped to consolidate The Copenhagen Post’s status as the chief supplier of Danish news in English, on the national and international level. Today, the newspaper is the nation’s preferred media for the large segment of people living in Denmark who do not speak Danish. This is a fast-expanding group, ranging from international business travelers, students, and tourists in Denmark for a short-term period, to diplomats and international business professionals who have settled with their families in Denmark.
